These type of conversations become routine, but they improve little by little. You experience your first hug, his little arms wrap around your waist and you experience his warmth. The weekends are planned around him, “what shall we teach him this week?” becomes the question asked every Friday night.
Scene 6 Act 31
He says “I love you” for the first time.
You do your best to hold back tears of joy and in a calm collective matter you say, “I love you” back. But he catches himself, with a “did i just say that to this woman” look on his face. But you act as if it was a simple exchange of words as to not freak him out. He shakes it off and keeps playing with his toys.
Now, the conversations are more detailed, he wants to teach you now. He wants your attention now. He wants to sit next to you and holds your hand by the mere act of extending your own.
This is love now.
His dreams are your dreams. His accomplishments are now shared by your celebratory dances and songs. His disappointments are your queues to cheer him up. His ideas become your challenges.
Your time is currency and he is the riches little boy on earth.
